At the Royal Windsor Horse Show on Friday, Queen Elizabeth was visibly delighted to see her youngest granddaughter, Lady Louise Windsor, driving a carriage.The Queen beamed from ear-to-ear as she watched her granddaughter compete in the carriage driving at the event.The late Prince Philip shared a very close bond with his granddaughter and they connected over their love of carriage riding.
At his funeral, Lady Louise, 18, wore a horse riding related brooch as a sweet nod to him. And as well as having a close bond with her grandfather, Lady Louise is close to the Queen too. Much like the Queen, Louise has a strong love for horses and can often be spotted riding on the Queen's many estates.
And she may be Her Majesty, but to Louise she's simple grandma, and Sophie, Countess of Wessex, previously told the Sunday Times that this is simply how Louise and James view her. "I guess not everyone's grandparents live in a castle, but where you are going is not the important part, or who they are. "When they are with the Queen, she is their grandmother," Sophie shared.
