The Countess of Wessex and her husband Prince Edward were joined by their daughter Lady Louise Windsor as they thanked members of the public for their tributes to the Queen at Balmoral Castle.
Sophie Wessex, 57, and Prince Edward, 58, were accompanied by their 18 year old daughter to greet those lining the streets outside the castle following a church service held in honour of the late Queen Elizabeth II earlier on in the day.
Many members of the royal family were present for the service and to greet the public, though Sophie and Edward’s son James, Viscount Severn, were nowhere to be seen.
