Michael Collings was just 19 when he appeared on Britain's Got Talent in 2011, where he made it to the final and secured fifth place in the competition. Remembered for his impressive version of Tracy Chapman’s iconic song Fast Car, the guitarist and singer was working as an IT engineer at the time of his audition, and was also an expectant dad, with his fiancee Sarah pregnant with their first child.The Plymouth resident revealed that he had only performed in pubs prior to the TV competition, but his talent saw him through to the very end of the series and onto the BGT tour that took place after the show ended.
