Malcolm In The Middle has recast the part of Dewey, after the previous actor Erik Per Sullivan became the only main cast member not to return.Variety reports that Caleb Ellsworth-Clark, known for his work on TV show Fargo, will instead play the part of youngest of the family’s siblings.

Frankie Muniz is returning in the title role, with Bryan Cranston and Jane Kaczmarek also coming back as parents Hal and Lois.Ellsworth-Clark’s casting was announced along with Christopher Masterson and Justin Berfield, who are reprising the roles of Francis and Reese.

Original Dewey actor Sullivan retired from acting in 2010, and according to Kaczmarek simply lost interest in the profession.“He’s well, he’s very, very well…He did Malcolm for seven years, he started at seven, he ended at 14.

He wasn’t interested in acting, at all” she said in an interview last year. “He goes to school at a very prestigious American university that he’s asked us all to be quiet about… I admire it because so many people think being in show business is the greatest thing in the world, it’s not for everyone”.A post shared by Frankie Muniz (@frankiemuniz4)The original show ran for seven seasons between 2000-2006 and followed the story of genius Malcolm (Muniz), who struggles to relate to his chaotic brothers and parents.
