Strictly star JJ Chalmers is a firm fan favourite with his light steps on the dance floor and determination to let nothing hold him back.
The 33-year-old suffered devastating injuries while he was serving his country in Afghanistan and feared he would never walk again.
He was out of foot patrol with his comrades when one of them stepped onto an IED (improvised explosive device). JJ was thrown onto his back and says the first thing he remembers about the harrowing day nine years ago is lying "pulverised" in a pile of rubble.
