Comedian Robert Webb has spoken about how he nearly died as a result of his heart complications. In 2019, the now-49 year old was diagnosed with a heart murmur, which went on to cause a mitral valve prolapse.
As a result, Robert, who’s married to fellow comedian Abigail Burdess, underwent open heart surgery – something which he says has changed his attitude towards life, and gave him the push he needed to do Strictly Come Dancing.
Speaking to Lorraine today, 7 October, Robert described himself as “very, very lucky”, and explained that following the surgery, he now has a normal life expectancy.
