St Helens head coach Kristian Woolf expects England centre Mark Percival to return to action in Sunday’s visit of sworn enemies Wigan Warriors.
Percival, who missed most of last season with shoulder and then hamstring injuries, has played seven times this year and scored five tries.
But he has been sidelined since the end of May after niggles arising from his hamstring surgery surfaced, yet Woolf is confident he will play in this weekend’s 2020 Grand Final rematch.
Saints have had three of their last four games called off due to Covid-19 outbreaks in the opposition camp and were awarded a 24-0 win over Castleford after Wednesday’s scheduled game was cancelled.
