Former Arsenal and England midfielder Paul Merson has warned Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer that he cannot turn his back on Jadon Sancho and Donny van de Beek because of their struggles.
Sancho, a £72.9million signing from German heavyweights Borussia Dortmund, and Van de Beek, who joined United just over a year ago from Ajax, have experienced frustration this season, with Van de Beek particularly struggling for game-time.
Sancho, who starred for England in their 5-0 World Cup qualifying drubbing of Andorra on Saturday evening — notching two assists — has made nine appearances for United so far this season, but only five of them have been from the start.
