Donny van de Beek told to leave Manchester United by former Premier League manager

Donny van de Beek should leave Manchester United in January, according to a former Premier League manager. Alex McLeish has stated that the Dutchman's situation at United is making him ‘feel unworthy’.

Since he joined United from Ajax for £40million in September 2020, Van de Beek has started just four times in the Premier League and he has been an unused substitute on 25 occasions.

The 24-year-old was an unused substitute again in the draw with Everton just days after a touchline incident which saw him throw down his training bib and toss his chewing gum when it became clear he would not be involved in the closing stages of the midweek Champions League win over Villarreal.
