A solar storm could be arriving amid a stream of solar winds, space weather forecasts have warned. NASA images taken by space agency's Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO) have revealed a large "coronal hole" in the Sun's outer atmosphere- the corona.
The hole - opened up in the southern region of the sun -is releasing a stream of charged particles that are not travelling towards earth, reports The Express.
The "gaseous material" escaping is forecast to hit Earth between today and tomorrow - 20 and 21 November. According to the website SpaceWeather.com, the traveling particles could result in some minor geomagnetic unrest in the planet's magnetosphere - the region of space dominated by Earth's magnetic field.
