The devastated parents of a teenager killed as two young drivers raced have described their heartache on the anniversary of her tragic death.
A year ago today, Jo and Mesut Alkir's lives were torn apart when their only child Olivia died in a head-on collision. Edward Ryan Bell, 17, had only passed his driving test the day before the horror incident.
But was irresponsible and wreckless enough to race his friend Thomas Henry Quick along the country lanes in Wales, the Daily Post reports.
It was Bell's car that Olivia was travelling in when he was involved in a head-on collision. Meanwhile, on June 27 last year, Olivia's mum was out shopping, looking forward to the weekend away with her daughter and only child on the Llyn Peninsula.
