Cops have corner shop worker Nithin Kumar, 40, under armed guard in hospital following reports he “exploded” before stabbing his baby daughter and three-year-old son as their mum screamed “help me… its my children” on Sunday afternoon.
CCTV footage shows him calmly stacking shelves at the Vinayagan Stores just 90 minutes before the rampage in Ilford, east London.
Detectives have said they aren’t looking for any further suspects. Neighbour Reshna Begum said: "I heard a woman screaming 'Help me'.
