An Ayrshire politician has slammed the suggestion that MPs should be ordered back to Westminster to "set an example" for the rest of the country.Dr Philippa Whitford, SNP MP for Central Ayrshire, said comments made by Jacob Rees-Mogg come with the pandemic "far from over".The Leader of the House of Commons sparked fury this week when claiming MPs should return from all corners of the UK at the start of June."Constituents would expect nothing less," he said.Dr Whitford, who immediately branded the suggestion as "crazy" on Twitter, said only 50 MPs could be safely spaced inside the Westminster chamber.
And she told the Ayrshire Post: "The COVID19 pandemic is far from over and the next phase is the most critical as loosening restrictions
