Sir David Attenborough will scale back his flying and might never film overseas again. The 94-year-old says his “heart was sinking deeper into my boots” every time he boarded a plane.
In his lifetime, it has been estimated Sir David has travelled 1.9 million miles – the equivalent of flying around the world 763 times – and has made almost 400 trips to 94 different countries.
He recorded his narration for a new BBC series from his home in Richmond due to the pandemic, and now thinks he could aim to continue recording from home.
