Sir Billy Connolly wants to return to acting despite his Parkinson’s diagnosis. The comedy legend announced his retirement from live performances in 2018 after being told he had the disease five years earlier.
He claimed he was even lined up to play a character suffering with the condition but it fell through. Sir Billy, 77, said: “I don’t have anything in mind, but I’d definitely mull it over if I was asked.
I like doing it. “I went to a thing at Downing Street for a Parkinson’s charity. I met a writer who wanted me to play a guy with Parkinson’s in a film. “I said: ‘Sure, I’ll do that’.
