During a week of global misery, there is some good news today as it was revealed that Billy Connolly may return to acting. The much-loved comedian was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2013 and eventually announced his retirement last year.
He is, however, determined not to be defined by his condition and has said that he might come out of retirement if a ‘nice thing’ came up.
Now 77, Billy was last on our screens in 2014 when he starred alongside David Tennant in What We Did On Our Holiday where he played a man with terminal cancer, and he recalled the experience as ‘brilliant.’ ‘I’d maybe act again if a nice thing came up.
