The man who murdered Brit backpacker Grace Millane on a Tinder date before stuffing her body in a suitcase is appealing his murder conviction.
The 28-year-old killer, who tried to claim Grace died during 'rough sex', has hired a new lawyer as he refuses to accept the conviction and life sentence for the horrific murder, the Mirror reports.
The brute, who under New Zealand 'name suppression' law still cannot be sentenced, has reportedly entered a notice of appeal after after he was sentenced to life in prison with a minimum non-parole period of 17 years following a three-week-long trial.
Grace was strangled to death the day before her 22nd birthday after going on a Tinder date with the man in Auckland in December 2018.
