Scottish Opera's pop up roadshow to take centre stage at Ayr's Belleisle Estate

Ayr next week.Performances will be held at the Belleisle estate on two specially adapted trailers.It's all part of a nationwide tour being held by Scottish Opera, which is returning with its pop-up roadshows.Shows will take place on Wednesday, August 4 and Thursday August 5.Audiences will be treated to five Gilbert & Sullivan classics condensed into 30 minute performances.Shows will include The Gondoliers, The Mikado, The Pirates of Penzance, HMS Pinafore and Iolanthe.Re-scored by Scottish Opera’s Head of Music, Derek Clark, with story text by Allan Dunn, the shows will take place al fresco on the Belleisle lawn.They are brought to life by storyteller Allan Dunn, along with singers Stephanie Stanway, Charlotte Hoather, Andrew McTaggart,.
