A 94-year-old Scots pensioner didn't eat for five days- because she was scared to leave the house during lockdown. The Glasgow woman had nobody to shop for her and was trapped indoors.
Charity bosses have since stepped in and rescued the woman, who has not been named, after she was found starving in her flat on the top floor of a tenement.
Staff from the Salvation Army had been checking up on people in the Govan area of the city when they discovered the horrifying situation on March 23.She was given a food parcel and some hot soup from the charity and bosses at the Govan Housing Association's mobile food support project.
