A Scots firefighter has been hurt after being attacked by yobs less than two hours after Bonfire Night began. The injured hero has been taken to hospital for treatment while two further crews were also targeted on Friday November 5.
People across Scotland had been urged to only attend organised firework displays and bonfires for safety reasons.However those holding their own event were told to follow the fireworks code which includes only letting off the pyrotechnics between 6pm and 11pm.
Despite this Martin Blunden, chief officer for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, shared the shocking update on social media.
