Doctors are demanding better protection from exposure to coronavirus amid concern "unsustainable" numbers of GPs are being forced to self-isolate in Scotland.
The Daily Record has been told 13 GPs are self-isolating in just one area of the Lothian health board region, with around five described as ill, as of Thursday night.
There is also concern that medical staff don't have access to self-testing kits which leaves some crucial frontline NHS workers needlessly stuck at home.
A doctor, who revealed the scale of pressure locally but who didn't want to be named, said: "These are unprecedented and worrisome times.
