heatwave set to hit Scotland in the next couple of weeks is in doubt, according to reports. Hot air was predicted to eventually drift over from the continent and reach UK shores replacing last week's flash floods and wet weather.
The Met Office's early weather reports predicted the hot spell to last from July 19 until August 2 - with soaring temperatures expected up north.
Forecasters previously predicted that temperatures could reach 20°C with plenty of sunshine and blue skies and sun. However, the Met Office has now predicted mixed weather in its latest long-range forecast casting doubt on a July heatwave, according to BirminghamLive.
