snow and rain battered much of the country overnight last night. The Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) has issued six flood warnings across the north east and on the Scottish border for Friday.It comes after several inches of snow landed in areas of higher ground, while lower areas were completely drenched by persistent downpours during the early hours of this morning.
Tayside, Aberdeenshire, Dundee and Angus, Fife, Central and the Scottish Borders were mostly impacted by the conditions. Police and traffic officials have urged drivers to take extra care on the roads today as the weather looks set to continue throughout the day.
