'Saucy' tomato that looks like lady's genitalia found 'too rude' to sell at M&S

Marks & Spencer employee was gobsmacked this week when she stumbled across an unusual find during a quality check in her store.We’ve all spotted a cheeky looking peach or a rather rude looking aubergine while shopping, but have you ever seen a saucy tomato?Security and safety advisor Maxine Baker, of Harrow, North West London, was examining the salad section at her M&S when she spotted just that – an X-rated tomato.She couldn’t believe her eyes when she found the cheeky fruit – yes, tomato is a fruit – as Maxine thought it strongly resembled a woman’s genitalia.“Cracking up” at the “rude” tomato, the shop worker decided the salad item was too raunchy for a family friendly supermarket.So, she took it home with her and chucked it in her freezer to save.Maxine, 52, recalled: “Oh my God, it’s hilarious, it’s tomato saucy.“I was doing quality checks on the tomatoes and picked that one up, and I just absolutely cracked up.“I just fell about laughing when I saw it.

I showed a colleague of mine, she did the same. It’s brilliant, I love it."I have got a really good sense of humour and I like slapstick and that was really up my street, so I thought ‘I have got to let everybody see it’.”Mazine added: “I keep making up these silly things like ‘Now I know where cherry tomatoes come from’ and 'Now I know what our tomatoes get up to in the night when the store’s closed’."The mum-of-two, who has worked at the Pinner M&S for seven years, knew that she couldn’t leave the tomato on the shelf.
