The lives of Sergei Skripal and his daughter are believed to have been saved by the typical British weather after they were exposed to nerve agent Novichok.
The ex-Russian spy who acted as a double agent for the UK's intelligence services and his daughter Yulia were found in a critical condition in 2018 in Salisbury, Wiltshire following the incident, which has been recreated in BBC drama series The Salisbury Poisonings.
Back when it happened, a scientist claimed that it was the bleak weather conditions typical to the UK that had saved their lives.
And he went as far as to brand their would-be assassin an "idiot". It's believed that the dangerous substance was smeared on the front door knob of Mr Skripal's home.
