The UK's June wash-out is over as sunny skies arrive bringing sweltering highs of 32C for parts of the country this week. The Met Office is forecasting scorching temperatures in the high-20s for much of the UK on Midsummer's Day, which falls on Wednesday.
Most of the UK is forecast to see dry and sunny conditions from Monday, but northwestern areas will still get some showers, according to the forecaster.
The temperatures look set to be highest around England's south and south-east, the Midlands, inland parts of the north, and south Wales for a balmy Wednesday afternoon.
