And that's not all. After the week of weather started with a washout, we could be ending it with wintry showers as well. The Weather Outlook forecast reads: "During the weekend high pressure is expected to be centred close to the UK. "It should lead to a good deal of quiet and rather cold weather. "Night-time frosts possibly become widespread and later on there is a chance of wintry showers in southern and eastern counties." But temperatures are expected to be very mild on Wednesday before dropping dramatically in time for the weekend.
