Ryanair threatens to blacklist customers who claim refunds through their bank or building society

Ryanair has been forced to apologise after telling customers seeking a cash refund using the chargeback scheme that it could result in them being blacklisted by the airline in the future.

Chargeback is a little-known card-protection scheme which gives consumers a chance of getting their money back from their bank or building society if they bought faulty goods or paid for a service which wasn't provided - including flights and holidays.MoneySavingExpert.com spoke to 10 passengers who have been told by Ryanair they could be banned for using the scheme.
