Will Smith is opening up about what changed his mind about an I Am Legend sequel. Following the premiere of the 2007 movie, the 53-year-old actor said that he wouldn’t be exploring a sequel to it – until now that is.

Click inside to read more… Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Will says it that it all came down to the idea of the sequel. “It was one of those ones I was gonna leave alone, and then I heard the idea,” he shared. “That might work.
I think we can do that.” Will added that the plot is still under wraps, but “it’s a really, really cool concept,” and that Michael was “part of creating the idea.” The first movie followed a man named Robert Neville, who is the last healthy human living on Earth after a biological war, but he is not alone.
The other humans have become vampire-like mutants, and all are hungry for Neville’s blood. By day, he is the hunter, stalking the sleeping undead through the abandoned ruins of civilization.
