Ryanair engine as it was about to land moments after flying into a flock of birds.The plane was reportedly arriving in Bologna’s Marconi Airport, having left London Stansted, on November 24 when it encountered the herons.Footage taken by an onlooker shows fire spurting out the back of the right engine shortly before it reportedly stopped working.Thankfully, pilots were able to keep their calm and land the plane without incident despite the right engine reportedly stalling completely.Pictures also show remnants of the herons plastered across the plane’s windscreen – clearly obscuring the pilot’s vision.Other graphic images shows one of the birds’ corpses trapped on the side of the plane, which is also covered in feathers.And one snap showed.
