Ryan Thomas was inspired by the heartbreaking rate of suicide in the UK to walk 10 marathons in 10 days. The former Coronation Street star, 36, says he's set himself the gruelling challenge after realising that many people's mental health has been suffering during the coronavirus lockdown.

Ryan, who shares daughter Scarlett, 12, with ex Tina O'Brien, and baby son Roman with fiancée Lucy Mecklenburgh, will be walking from London to Manchester to raise money for charity CALM, the Campaign Against Living Miserably.

A new public photography exhibition that shines a light on mental health awareness has opened in London. From March 9 until April 6, ‘Art of London presents Take a Moment 2022’ at Piccadilly Circus is encouraging people to take time out of their day to check in on their mental health.The exhibition, which was opened by TV doctor Dr Ranj Singh, is made of over 100 celebrity portraits and has been projected onto the Piccadilly Lights - an attraction which is seen by around 56 million people per year.
