Red Nose Day is back for its 36th year, raising money to help end child poverty in the UK and around the world. Until 2021, Red Nose Day was held every other year, but now it will be held annually.
The run-up to the big day usually involves fundraising events across the UK for charity Comic Relief. In 2021, an amazing £52,025,485 was raised and more than £1 billion has been drummed up since Red Nose Day began. This year's telethon will take place on Friday, March 18, from 7pm.
It will be broadcast live from MediaCityUK in Salford, Greater Manchester. Alongside Sir Lenny Henry, hosting the charity event will be Zoe Ball, Paddy McGuinness, Alesha Dixon and David Tennant.
