Meet the mermaids at Sea Life Manchester - how to book tickets for the magical ocean extravaganza

Mermaid fans are in for a treat at Sea Life Manchester next month. The 'After-hours with the Mermaids' event is back giving families the chance to marvel at the aquatic creatures.

Visitors are invited to watch the mermaids swim in an ocean world filled with sharks, stingrays, turtles and hundreds of tropical fish.

The special evening sessions run from 5pm to 9pm and are taking place over three Fridays in April - 8th, 15th and 22nd. READ MORE: The Nickelodeon Experience is coming to Heaton Park this summer A spokesperson for the attraction, which is inside Trafford Palazzo (formerly Barton Square, said: "Come and explore the full aquarium on selected Fridays in April in these limited, intimate evening sessions and you’ll also get a rare chance to marvel at the real-life mermaids as they join our sea turtles, Cammy and Ernie in our Ocean Display for a magical time." Tickets must be booked online in advance.

You can choose an entry time every 15 minutes between 5pm and 7.45pm when booking. Once inside the attraction, guests will be issued a set time to take a break from exploring the aquarium and head to the Ocean Display for the mermaid experience.
