A 17-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of murdering an 18-year-old in Bury town centre. The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is the fourth person to be arrested in connection with Abdikarim Abdalla Ahmed's death on Friday (March 11).
A 16-year-old has been charged with Abdikarim's murder and appeared at Manchester Magistrates' Court today (March 14). Two other teenagers have been arrested and released on bail. Detective Inspector Danny Lee of GMP's Major Incident Team said: "Our investigation is continuing at pace and this morning we have made an additional arrest in connection with Abdikarim's death. "Whilst he remains in custody for questioning we are continuing to appeal for witnesses or anyone with information or video footage to come forward and assist us with our investigation."
