The early performances of Rio Ferdinand in Manchester United training caused him to be mocked. That is the revelation of his former team-mate Ryan Giggs, who has spoken about the famous winning mindset at Old Trafford that he helped install during his two decades at Old Trafford.

Ferdinand went on to become one of the most successful players during his time at the club by lifting six Premier League titles, two domestic cups and the Champions League, but his early outings were not so promising.

Giggs has mentioned the 41-year-old while talking about his time as a player, adding that the training ground could be an unforgiving place for those who didn’t impress.
