BandLab NME Awards 2022 award winners Bring Me The Horizon are due to stage their own festival in Malta in May – an event they’ve said will be “like Fyre Festival but with better sandwiches”.The Sheffield band were speaking to NME from the winner’s room after picking up the trophy for Best Band From The UK Supported By Pizza Express.Bring Me’s Malta festival, announced last November, will take place from May 26-30 and feature a full live show and an exclusive retrospective set from the band.Discussing what to expect from the event, drummer Mat Nicholls promised “bingo with Jordan Fish [BMTH keys player]. It’s called ‘Bringo’.”“It’s like Fyre Festival but with better sandwiches,” frontman Oli Sykes added.The festival’s line-up, handpicked by the band, includes Bullet For My Valentine, Beartooth, PVRIS, Motionless In White, Spiritbox, Nova Twins and Wargasm.There will also be a host of club nights, pool party takeovers and boat parties.

Black Panther franchise just yet. The creative storyteller’s company Proximity Media — founded by himself, wife Zinzi Coogler, Sev Ohanian, Ludwig Göransson, Archie Davis, and Peter Nicks — has partnered with Walt Disney Company for a five-year overall exclusive television deal.

Marvel superhero Black Panther, is in development for Disney+.Ryan Coogler, who helmed the 2018 movie Black Panther, will develop a new show as part of a five-year TV exclusivity deal with Coogler’s production banner, Proximity Media.There are no details on plot nor cast, however, it’s expected to expand on the story Coogler wrote for Black Panther and its upcoming sequel Black Panther II, which is released on July 8, 2022.As Deadline reports, the deal with Proximity Media also includes the option to make shows elsewhere under the Disney banner – not just Marvel Studios.

Following the tragically early death of Chadwick Boseman at 43 from cancer, I was honestly worried and concerned that “Black Panther” director Ryan Coogler might exit the Marvel franchise, heartbroken to have lost his King T’Challa. But not only has Coogler seemingly persevered in making “Black Panther II,” due July 8, 2022, but his commitment to the world of Wakanda and Marvel seems to have not waivered.
