A Rutherglen grandmother has thanked the generous public once again who have helped her to supply much needed donations of goods to the vulnerable living in Ethiopia.Donations of medical items such as crutches, bandages and baby delivery kits as well as new shoes and toys have been collected by Ethiopia Medical Project (EMP), a charity co-founded by Burnside pensioner Maureen Burnett MBE.EMP aims to support people with devastating but easily treatable medical conditions such as a type of elephantiasis and uterine prolapse.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
