Russia's Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin has fallen ill with coronavirus. The 54-year-old leader has told the country's President Vladimir Putin that he has been diagnosed with Covid-19, Reuters reports.
It comes as Russia's number of confirmed coronavirus cases passes 100,000. Speaking at a televised meeting, Mr Mishustin suggested that First Deputy Prime Minister Andrey Belousov should serve as acting prime minister in his absence.
Mr Putin supported his proposal, as the virus today was confirmed to have spread to all 85 of Russia's regions. The country has so far recorded 106,498 Covid-19 cases, and 1,073 coronavirus-related deaths.
