Schools in Lanarkshire are to lose direct funding to help them close the poverty gap - but the Scottish Government insist they'll benefit from a revamped system.A total of 20 Lanarkshire schools all currently receive extra cash through the Scottish Attainment Challenge Schools Programme, with nearly £2million going across the region to help schools with a "significant proportion" of pupils facing challenges.Among the Lanarkshire schools that benefit from the scheme are Larkhall Academy, which receives £140,354, Stonelaw High, which is given £107, 624 and Calderside Academy, who are due to recieve £135, 136.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
