One of the group's founders, Joe Brown, told The Sun: "We realised that Robot Wars was not just a TV show, but a hobby, and that people were building smaller and cheaper bots at home,"We combined beer, pizza and small robots as a bit of fun and it's kept going ever since."Participants build small machines that can weigh up to 110kg and are given two to three minutes to fight it out with their opponents.
Equipped with axes, weapons, or flippers, they must either destroy rival machines or shove them into a hole in the arena floor called 'the pit'.The robot fight club isn't just about beating opponents.

"A company came to our event last month and my friend just started chatting to them and showed off his robot.
