Robin van Persie says the No.20 shirt he wore for Manchester United means more to him than his No.10 Arsenal jersey because “the story with it makes it special”.
The Dutchman burst onto the English scene at Arsenal after completing a £3m move from Feyenoord in 2004, going onto become one of the best strikers in the club’s history.
Despite scoring 132 goals in 278 appearances for the Gunners, though, Van Persie only got his hands on the FA Cup in his time in north London.
He eventually sealed a £23m move to rivals United in 2012, where he would clinch the Premier League title after scoring 26 goals in his debut season.
