Eades may have only formed two years ago but the Leeds quintet aren’t afraid to shake up their sound. Led by frontman Harry Jordan, the indie starlets thrive on turning an idea on its head to conjure a fresh, alluring take on their ever-evolving soundscapes.
This openness in expression is best exemplified in their dizzyingly catchy single Same Guy; a stripped-back slice of New York-inspired garage rock that nicely fits alongside Big Apple alumni Parquet Courts and Talking Heads, and Atlanta’s Omni.
Same Guy’s jangling guitar hook was inspired by Bollywood music in an attempt to force them down a different path sonically – an idea brought to the table by forward-thinking bassist Dave Lancaster.
