Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson Hon FRIBA (born 19 June 1964) is a British politician, writer, and former journalist serving as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and Leader of the Conservative Party since 2019. He was Foreign Secretary from 2016 to 2018 and Mayor of London from 2008 to 2016. Johnson was Member of Parliament for Henley from 2001 to 2008 and has been MP for Uxbridge and South Ruislip since 2015. Ideologically, Johnson identifies as a one-nation conservative.

A treasury spokesperson told the Sun: “The chancellor will be setting out the next stage of the Job Support Scheme later today that will protect jobs and provide a safety net for those businesses that may have to close in the coming weeks and months.”Reports suggest that the new scheme will support two thirds of workers' wages in areas where their businesses are forced to shut their doors.Furlough saw the Government pay 80% of a worker's wages up to a monthly cap of £2,500.But the JSS will only subsidise a fifth of part-time wages for workers who are in “viable” jobs.It follows speculation that Boris Johnson will be rolling out a new three-tiered system for England which could mean more restrictions in areas with the highest.
