A schoolgirl who handed in a wallet containing £700 has been given an award by Virgin boss Sir Richard Branson. Rhiannon Parkinson, 14, saved a family's Christmas after discovering the missing cash at a Sainsbury's store in Crosby, Merseyside.

It was returned to its worried owners, who said Rhiannon saved their family's Christmas - as it contained all their money for their children’s Christmas presents, the Liverpool Echo reports.
Rhiannon's mum, Sarah Litherland, said billionaire tycoon Mr Branson had his staff give her a surprise phone call earlier today after the story had "touched his heart".
