Repair Shop's Jay Blades says he had suicidal thoughts after marriage collapse

The Repair Shop star Jay Blades has revealed that he experienced suicidal thoughts following the end of his marriage. Prior to his success on BBC One hit The Repair Shop, Jay had set up charities with his first wife Jade, named Street Dreams and Out Of The Dark.

The pair worked to help young people who had not found success in the education system, even going on to appear in the Channel 4 show Kirstie’s Handmade Christmas.

However, as Jay and Jade's marriage came to an end, so did their working relationship. Now Jay has revealed to The Sun how he struggled to cope with "internal pressure" after he found himself homeless and no longer with Jade, with whom he shares his daughter, Zola.
