REBEL Wilson came under fire tonight after making a string of "cringeworthy" and "crude" jokes at the Baftas. The 42-year-old actress kept BBC bosses busy - with an offensive hand signal blurred and at least one joke snipped out before going out on air.

One unimpressed viewer tweeted: "Please, can someone get rid of Rebel Wilson.. She is appaling. Crude. Cringeworthy. Unfunny." Another called her hosting "uncomfortable viewing".

Piers Morgan joined in too, tweeting: "I’m cringing so violently watching Rebel Wilson attempt to host the #BAFTAs that I fear my eye sockets may explode." At one point Rebel revealed a picture of Bond actor Daniel Craig's face on her leg with '007' printed above it.
