Steven George Gerrard MBE (born 30 May 1980) is an English professional football manager and former player who manages Scottish Premiership club Rangers.
He spent the majority of his playing career as a central midfielder for Liverpool, with most of that time spent as club captain, as well as captaining the England national team. Widely regarded as one of the greatest midfielders of all time,
Gerrard was awarded the UEFA Club Footballer of the Year award in 2005, and the Ballon d'Or Bronze Award. In 2009, Zinedine Zidane and Pelé said that they considered Gerrard to be the best footballer in the world.
Rangers have been looking good since the restart. It's all a far cry from the deflated, defeated side that capitulated in the league after the winter break last term.Steven Gerrard 's men look like a team that have been subject to significant thought and tinkering since the chastening spell that followed their visit to a training camp in Dubai.
While the defence has been solid and only three goals have been lost in 11 games, they have been much improved on the attacking front, finding the net 31 times to date.
With quality spread across attacking areas and various new boys beginning to settle they look a much more balanced outfit than the one so reliant on Alfredo Morelos to provide a moment of magic in games.
