Steven Gerrard

Steven George Gerrard MBE (born 30 May 1980) is an English professional football manager and former player who manages Scottish Premiership club Rangers.

He spent the majority of his playing career as a central midfielder for Liverpool, with most of that time spent as club captain, as well as captaining the England national team. Widely regarded as one of the greatest midfielders of all time,

Gerrard was awarded the UEFA Club Footballer of the Year award in 2005, and the Ballon d'Or Bronze Award. In 2009, Zinedine Zidane and Pelé said that they considered Gerrard to be the best footballer in the world.

Alfredo Morelos has played in terrible Rangers' teams against Celtic, half-decent teams, and now very good teams as part of Steven Gerrard's squad.

But he's still been unable to hit the back of the net and it's something that has clearly frustrated him in the past.On the latest Record Rangers podcast, Jonny McFarlane is joined by PA Sport's Andy Newport and Record Sport's Adam Miller to discuss Saturday's big game.

And there's a firm belief that Morelos is still needed to start up front for Rangers if they are to leave Celtic Park with all three points.

When asked about Morelos playing against Celtic, Miller said: "On paper, if you look at that Rangers team, he’s not necessarily the biggest threat when you have Ryan Kent but he’s right up.
