Back in 2015, the England international was desperate to leave Liverpool after becoming disillusioned under Brendan Rodgers.The winger refused to sign a new contract and was determined to go.After months of wrestling between parties, Sterling got his wish and joined City for £49m.
At the time, it made him the most expensive British player of all time - a record that now belongs to Harry Maguire after his £80m Manchester United transfer.
