Bumble has suggested that its users are continuing to shun the stereotypical glam and gorgeous profiles, and now want to see what people are into to be in with a chance of bagging a date.Research carried out by the dating app revealed that 51% of single people said snaps that show off a person's skill for an unusual sport or activity is likely to encourage them to get a conversation going. So, basically, topless six pack shots are out but snaps of you roller-skating or knitting may lead you to bagging a date. And, while the advice is being dished out, those looking for love are being told to stay away from old-fashioned profile styles.

The things people deemed as least appealing were gym selfies, pouty poses and any snaps that showed a messy bedroom in the background.

It turns out Gen Z even admitted they'd be more interested in dating a trainspotter than before. It's also thought Tom Daley may have something to do with the fact that 29% of millennials also said they'd be up for dating someone who loves to knit.Meanwhile, nearly 1 in 4 (22%) claimed that having a unique hobby was one of the most desirable qualities when it came to trying to find the perfect match. The demand for a quirky interest beat the likes of wanting to get to know someone who could speak multiple languages or who had a knack for DIY.

Following the results of the survey Bumble is now preparing to launch seven new Interest Badges in the coming weeks to celebrate people's new love for niche hobbies which include trainspotting, knitting, beekeeping and many more.
